I'm using each new area of work I undertake as a learning opportunity.  Today I had to give a presentation to GDC, I havent done many before so I used some NLP skills to help me get through it.  In other words, I became that skilled presenter forgetting to be too nervous and remembering the information I was required to get across.  It was really useful snd I am anxious to read some more so that I can use the skills again and at higher level.  I really need to get onto a course as I believe that what I can learn will be very useful to BM in the future. 

I observed some of our new volunteer mediators doing a full mediation yesterday, they were very good.  The meeting showed signs of getting out of hand and they succeeded in keeping control of the situation.  Parties reached an agreement but I am doubtful whether it will hold as one party was xtremely confrontational most of the time, des[ite saying that she wanted respect.  Interesting.
